The Velvet Glove
CBS News reports that the Obama administration has been sending unsolicited eMail (often called spam) to Federal workers – at their “.gov” addresses.
The White House Office of Health Reform Director Nancy-Ann DeParle has been feverishly sending out unsolicited email messages to federal employees in an effort to build support for President Barack Obama’s health reform package over the last several weeks.
DeParle’s solicitation requests federal employees act on behalf of the President’s agenda by making this directive:
“You can help raise awareness by sharing this email with your friends, family and online networks,” read the March 11th email from DeParle.
In other words, she’s encouraging them to spam their “friends, family and online networks”. Many of these eMails are going to workers in the State Department – which is a branch of the Executive Department. So, in effect, they’re being told by their Boss to go out and work for passage of the health care bill.
Here’s an online petition: “Vote No On Universal Health Care Legislation Now”.
It’s not over until it’s over. Never give up. Put your personal time and energy where it matters. Here’s a list of Congressmen in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
So call them. Call ALL of them on the target list below.
Call their district offices first, then call their Capitol Hill offices.
Be polite, but be firm. Ask them to please vote to kill the bill.
Here’s a general petition to Congress.
November is coming … If you vote YES on the health care bill, I will vote NO on you in the next election.
